You make a good arugment, I agree with you. I think that a lot of people are afraid of offending opposite races so they say the term they think is “better” or “proper”, when that term itself could be offensive to someone.

You mighth have to have your ISO higher than normal so more light goes into the camera. A flash will help a lot too, but it might seem like too much so put a card in front of your flash to diffuse it a little. If you set your camera to the TV mode you will need a lower shuter speed. You will just have to keep adjusting your settings until you find one that works.
